My wife has a home business - Tastefully Simple - and we found this software called "My Small Business" on one of those shareware sites, Winsite.com. Here is their link: http://home.comcast.net/~thomps98/msb/

It is fairly simple, but it does a real good job of keeping inventory, as well as creating orders, maintaining customer info, and tracking sales.

It looks like it was created for small/home businesses - it is pretty generic, so I think it could be used for any type of small business.
