Goto Staples or Office Depot, pick up a Dome accounting/bookkeeping book. I think they are around $10 - $15. Doesn't get any more simpler than that. You can also look on the Microsoft Office Template home page and find some usefull bookkeeping and accounting spreadsheets which you can download for free.
