I'm trying to patent a sticker quote.

I'm sure some of you guys have seen those stickers people have on the back of their cars with the Initials of their city on it. For example, if the city is called "Cannon Beach", they have a sticker that says "CB"

If I make a sticker like this with a quote that noone else has done, can I patent it?

I feel it is pointless to produce and sell this sticker if someone can just copy it. So any info would be great.

and secondly, if I can patent it, how much does a patent like that usually cost?
