I downloaded evernote, and will continue to play with that.

I do not have Onenote in my computer. I have had my tablet for about 3 years, and maybe it was not out when my computer was made.

I am looking to take notes about customers. Allow me to explain a bit more. My business consists of me operating a route, calling on professional technicians. Many times, we will discuss various things, such as tools they have been thinking about, or a tool they might be looking for that I need to do some checking on. The best way to close that sale is to walk in with the item next week.

I use software that is made for the tool business. It allows me to keep track of accounts receivable (truck accounts) inventory, collections, and it allows me to order inventory. It also allows me to order product under a needs list. Simply stated, that means that I put the product under the persons name. Then, when you go into their account, the software signals you that you have a product ordered for them.

The software also has a note function (imagine that!). It only allows a certain amount of text to be entered. It does pop up when you enter a persons account, and it prints the note on the dailly worksheets that I print.

Maybe what I am also looking for is a pipeline tracker. Not every sale is closed immediately. Or, maybe i should simply start using the note function in my software, and work with the software vendor for an improvement to it. I do pay them $50 per month for the software, after all.

Have you checked under the "Microsoft Office" folder on your start menu? It's likely that you have OneNote already.

If your computer is about three years old, you might have OneNote, dependinfg on what version of Office 2003 that you have. When they distributed that version, they changed things around (again). But I would have to agree with newinterest, that you might have it if you have office 2003.

I have office XP (Which I believe is 2001... not exactly sure if it is 01 or 02).

At any rate... I don't have it.

That would be Office 2002 if I remember correctly and unfortunate OneNote did not come out until Office 2003.
