My friend says that being late 30's and opening up your own website is the new way females are dealing with approaching mid lfe ! interesting thought. Anyhow ... I am a new business - mainly doing wedding photography but in order to get established I am taking on other assignments. For example I photgraphed some handmade bags in exchange for having my poster up in their craft shop as they also stocked wedding items. I did some hotel food photgraphy in exchange for being their first recommendation for wedding photos and a web link.

You said in your webpage that you have over 20 years of experience in photography - should there not then be already a word of mouth reputation about you and you work?

How much work did you get through those two link exchanges you did?

The question was .... do You want anything photographing that may be useful to me in exchange for something you think may be useful tome?

I have been doing wedding photography for 20 years but not as a business - more for friends, family, people at Preston office (i.e people not in the Lake District). The frequency started to increase and a new wed cake shop opened in the village who pointed out the lack of photographers so I started it up as a real business.

No business yet from the other 2 photo exchnages directly but it was only a few weeks ago!
