Default New Freelancing Website

Hi there,

I am currently new to this website, but this is amazing that lots of people are helping each other with different needs. I liked it...and that's how I am now putting up my situation here in front of you my friends...!

I don't have too much funds, so that I can start a good business, but whatever the business is, you have to start right from the 0 level, and then you step ahead in life, slowly and slowly. So I basically know Web designing, and was interested in making a new website, but I don't know whether I would be able to create my source of income from it or not.. Its just like my hobby also.

The thing is that I want to create a freelance website, where people can post Web-related and other IT jobs, and find freshers and experienced IT professionals.....a website where people can show off their work, portfolios, a website where employers can look for professionals or freshers to get their job done. I need a website on the internet where people can find freelance jobs...

Can anyone guide me in this scenario....??

OR

The other way was just to start a website, to provide information on the internet, but I don't know how to create source of income from it..I know it won;t be coming within next 2 months, but still.....people start and there are many who end up with great websites, and they are making money...

Thanks for your help my friends...!

If I were trying to think of a new website to build (which I tend to do several times a week), another freelance website would be very, very low on my list of good ideas. Not that the idea itself is bad, it's just that this subject has been done to death. If you want to know what type of websites NOT to build, just have a look at Ebay sometime, in the websites for sale section. Anything you see there is best to be avoided.

I visit just about every free lance site out there and quite frankly just about every one of them is useless and breasts on a bull moose. They either don't really have any legitimate (that's LEGITIMATE) free lance jobs or they are a front for their own people, i.e. Elance.

Freelance writers don't have much good to say about these sites, as far as obtaining jobs goes. For example I've seen business plan bid at ridiculously low prices that couldn't possibly be enough to write a good plan. I've seen a lot of pay on publication jobs that would never pay in a million years. I've been assigned jobs and never been paid.

The worst part is most of these sites block communication between the freelancer sand the customer. This can be very dangerous.

So, don't bother with another freelance site, there's much chance it will work.
