Default Can a single owner LLC be registered as a corporation?

Hello,

First of all, I am so glad and happy there is a forum like this that helps people like me, that are passionate about getting ahead in life. Thanks!!
I am starting a business in Florida and need some advice. I have to admit that I am a rookie in starting a business. I know everything that is needed to know about the target market, but suck in all these legal stuff. Basically, what I really need to know is if I can be the only owner of this company and still be treated as two different entities in terms of tax and liabilities? and if so, can I be treated as an s-corporation?

Thanks for the help!!

Hmm, I'm trying to figure out what you're asking in your topic and here in this thread.

Do YOU have an LLC, but you want to form a corporation with the LLC as the only shareholder?

Well actually I do have an LLC which has only me as the owner. I do have another person that is investing on the company. I am just trying to figure out what to write in the SS-4 form in the entity type blank ( 8a- Entity Type)

Hard question, what kind of shares does the investor have? Are they voting power shares?
