Hey guys, quick question. Does anyone know where you can file a copyright dispute? If someone takes your work, and copyrights it under their name (i.e. stealing) and I want to dispute it, what to do?

Get an attorney.

Have you tried politely asking them to stop stealing from you?

haha.. basically it breaks down like this. I've been working on this software for about 2 years now. I asked a friend to help me out with one of the modules that I was writing, and then afterwards he took all my code and filed for copyright, and now i'm hearing from his attorneys saying that it's all his.

Now it's rediculous, because I have all this stuff backed up from ages ago, so I'm not going to have any problems proving it's my work. However, since a copyright has been filed with his name on it, I need to file a dispute to halt that action, and I was wondering if there was a form online or something to do such a thing. I haven't been able to find one as of yet.

Lesson learned: Do it yourself, or don't let your greedy friend help.
