I'd love to live in/out of a canoe for a week, a month.

Make the trip appear to be a challenge and adventure. Make it fun. Have rules. You may need to look into getting insurance if you are operating as a business. Do the same trip you plan yourself and do it with a couple of mates who are smart like you. Take notes along the whole trip and do a 'practice run'. Discuss the notes at night and at the end of the trip.

Produce an itineray from the notes. Plan carefully where you'll go, what you'll do and what you'll have your 'clients' do during the week. Don't get ambitious for your first trip. Make it one week and if it goes good, make it two if you think there's demand for it.

Monitor how much food you and your friends consume on the first trip and take along that quantity plus 25%. Take a radio/cell-phone for safety. Leave a route with someone. Get a spreadsheet and work out all your costs BEFORE you go on your first experimental trip with your friends.

One week is either 3 days out, 1 day camping, 3 days back. Or, it's 7 days along the river and then get picked up.

Get a book and read about the little animals, plants and other things you'll encounter so someone (you) knows what you are all looking at when you see some kind of koala bear or other beastie.

Take along a guitar or some musical thing to entertain the mob at night. Be sure to have all batteries needed and charged up.

Just to clarify something, I have been on canoe trips in the past as me and my friend went on one our selfs that we planned, it went very good. When i say a one week trip your not living out of a canoe, as in Ontario we have Crowned land which your allowed to camp on, so every night or in the afternoon we will set up camp. All i have to do is write a business plan for the school project, but do oyu actually think this is a venture i could quite possiblly start up out side of school one day?

I am currently putting a site together for this and ill post it in the week to ocme to see how you all like it.
Thanks alot for the help

Why does someone need you to go camping?
Who else offers this in your area?
Can you compete?
What about insurance? You're taking people on water are you responsible for their safety?
Do you need to hire a medical staff?
What kind of back-up do you have in case of emergencies?
I know I wouldn't follow a 19 year old into the woods.
Answer these questions, and then learn some more.

I don't know Canadian Law, but here in the U.S., people sue.
