Default SMS Marketing

Hi,

I wonder if anybody considers this interesting.

We run a couple of SMS based online services and have a database of mobile users from different countries who HAVE AGREED to receive SMS from us before they registered to our services. Basically, we can provide anybody with a direct mobile marking, so my questions are:

1. Mobile subscribers from which countries would be interesting for you?
2. How big should be the database in order you to consider sms marketing?
3. How frequent would you like to send your information?
4. What would be the best price you'd like to pay for such service (excluding free of charge )

Thanks for considering this post!

SMS Marketing or Mobile Marketing is basically sending advertizements to mobile phones. The biggest challenge is to avoid spamming. In our case it won't be spam, as the users have accepted receiving messages to their mobile phones.

Honestly, it just sounds like more spam. I tried this once - and for some reason the DB messed and it paged me about 2:30a in the morning. Of course I thought one of my servers was down so I am in my office checking that. That actually happened a few times.

And no matter what - even though you have permission (just like you have permission to email people) people do not read those TOS and will get irritated.

In many European countries SMS marketing is against the law as it is considered the same as E-Mail spamming. I don't think it would work very well as people would find it an intrusion of their privacy,
