Hello there! Love this forum and have spent most of the day reading the posts!
I will tell a little about myself. I am a self employed scuba diver, I dive for sea urchins in the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada. I work in the chilli months between Oct-Apr. I love it and have been doing it for 4 years now. I like to remain self employed in my off season as well (May-Sept) and have come up with a business idea this year for my off months, that is sure to fly!
Its a repeat annual service for sure. I am excited to get it going. It is in the HRV(Venmar,Vanee, etc) industry. It would be a service that targets residential areas to people who already own one. I have picked my demographics and what not, and can only think of one way to reach them sending a brochure or flyer using addressed admail. Sales & marketing are my downfall. I am not a one on one salesman, if I could get the call through a brochure, the service would sell itself basically. I dont have alot of money to spend on advertising and have run out of ideas on how to sell the service. It is such a targeted market. I was wondering if you guys could throw some ideas at me on how to distribute the flyer, to build up a solid client list. I am losing motivation. I would love to share and test the sales pitch on the brochure/flyer with you all to maybe help spruce it up a little and see if it self explanatory. Thanks a million!

It's hard to make concrete suggestions not knowing what you're up to, but you might want to have a look at the Guerrilla Marketing series.
