Default Referral business- Sale advice

Hi,
I am thinking of selling my online referral business referus.co.uk
Would anyone please advise me on the best way to go about this?
There is currently 137 members on the site. I did run a free membership offer which most of these members took advantage of. For every member that joins now its £50 +vat per year.
I am selling this business as i have not got the time anymore as my main business is getting very very busy. I have spent nearly 10k on setting this website up and it needs someone who can take it to its full potential.
If someone can make this website work by spending a little time then they will be very successful!
Please feel free to have a look around the website and ask any questions.
Look forward to your advise/queries.

Well any prospective investor will want to see a recent set of accounts and what assets are actually included in the sale.

Go to www.businessesforsale.com, lots on there and it *might* give you an idea although bottom line is they are aksing prices, like alot of things its only worth what someone is prepared to pay.

Good Luck!

Hi all,

Firstly thanks for all your comments/advise.

Dave- I have not set a price for the website as i am open to offers.

Gary- Anyone is interested in the site i would provide a set of accounts etc as I wouldnt expect anyone to make an offer without seeing the figures first.

Nigel- I'm sorry that you have not had any referrals as yet. Have you made any referrals to another member? The reason i am asking for advice is to get a good marketing plan if i dont sell the site, which will get more traffic and hopefully some referrals to you.

I dont think its worth a great deal to be honest. No revenue, no page rank, no proper title tag?

It is only likely to get a large membership database if the site has a lot of traffic , in order to get traffic it needs to be high profile in the searh engines . So i would need proof of traffic levels / stats - ie: no of UVs per day etc. before being able to make any offer . At the moment it looks as though you have a nice clean site , well designed that needs promoting , but you aer in competition with the large affiliate networks eg: commission junction - have you tried SEO or PPC? Good luck with the sale .
