Default Search engine traffic versus link traffic.

I've always read (and it makes sense to believe) that search engine traffic is the best kind of traffic because it's very targetted--people are actively looking for what your site contains (usually).

But one of my sites in particular gets a lot of traffic from a link that's on another site with a similar theme. Would that traffic be just as good as the search engine traffic? What do you think?

Of course, since the sites are similar. The folks are definitely targeted and know what they're looking for.

What I've always wanted to know is ... out of all the new visitors the stats show, how many are legit and how many are just robots/spiders/spammers?

Sounds like the best of both worlds. Good, targeted traffic from the link and improved search engine ranking for you from a high quality incoming link.

SE traffic is really the best kind of traffic available. It is free and targeted. The problem is, most SE's only list your site in the prime positions if you have been linked from other sites. They have gotten their technology to the point that they pay more respect to your site if you are linked from sites in simular industries.

Your first mistake was grayson. He is cool and good at some stuff, but he just doesn't have the mind yet for campaign critical work.

First, too much text, way too much. There is of a visual nature that will draw the attention. Your ad should be able to say, without words, what it sells to.

Is it too late for some changes, or have you submitted the final artwork already?

EDIT: Why didnt you ask me, you know this is what I did in my previous life (and still do for friends).

Every single study I have read in the past year states that it's not the pictures that gets the readers attention, but rather, the heading. In this case, this is the simpliest and most direct heading we could come up with. Out of about 50+, we designed to run with this one.

And from my ad alone, within the first two or three sentences, you know exactly what my company does. You, as a reader, can either choose there and then whether you want to read the ad further or turn the page.

This looks like the most active thread on this site of late. LOL
