Default selling land to investors in European country

I was wondering if anyone could offer insight to a business idea Ive had. The country I am from in Europe is in my opinion an excellent place to buy land and real estate. However, the land in this particular country cannot be bought unless he/she is a citizen, which I am. Do you think it is a viable business idea to sell land in this particular country to investors here in the states. If so, can anyone give me advice about how to go about doing it?

I'm from Europe as well (but I have no idea what country you're talking about) and I have some experience with real estate.

I think real estate is still one of the most interesting investment oppertunities. But to invest in land and to make a profit, or to develop it and then make a profit, you would need a buyer. You said yourself that it is only possible to buy real estate if you are a citizen. Doesn't that limit the potential?

There are conceivable plans that would allow succesful investments, but it's my guess they need more than a local contact to buy the land.

Do you have ideas to counter these issues?
