Default naming

Hey folks,
Im new here, so greetings.

I am moving forward in my business from a individual doing his work freelance, to a much more structured firm that will be hiring employees and such.

What I do is find money for venture projects, and I have been doing it as an invividual for a little over a year now with great success. My primary focus is on speculative real estate constructive with a premier builder, luxury home reselling and retail products, but that is not to say I am limited to any of them.

As I mentioned I am looking to move more into a structured business, and I need some help with naming.

The name and image is very important considering the sums of money that I secure from my clients ($500k-$2m per project). The name also needs to convey the security of our ideas (basically that we can and will make them money).

I want to use the word "Taggart" which is a family name, but I am honestly unsure where to go with it.

I also run a successful business services consultancy with a few employees and I want to have that under this "enterprises" umbrella.

Any suggestions, ideas, or comments would be most appreciated.

Here is what I do for these things. I think of a few words that I want to use to conjure up an image. Then go into Microsoft Word (or just use a good old fashioned Thesuraus) and look up those words using the builtin thesuraus. It is very quick using word as you can also lookup the word you just got with a click of the mouse, but either way you will soon have a list of 40-50 words that hopefully reflect the image you are trying to convey....

Then grab a big glass of wine and sit down and try them out until you find the combination that works for you!!!

One other thing if you also want an online presence do not forget to check to see if the domain (e.g. www.TaggertHoldings.com) is available.

Thanks guys.

Yes, a domain is very important.

I like Taggart Group and Taggart Holdings.

Let me ask this, Taggart Holdings, would that communicate something I don't want? Don't holding companies generally manage their own money? Clarity would be appreciated.

Thanks again folks.

Taggart Holdings was just something that came to mind. Personally it implies a holding/umbrella company to me - maybe not quite what you are looking for.

Taggert Assets? An asset is a POSITIVE thing so always a good connection....

Man I need that glass of wine - lol.

I think Assets also conveys an image of us using our own money.

Here is the basic scenario... Building luxury spec homes
I set up a project. I pick the land (so that I have the price). Then I find an investor who wants a hands off project (he can be hands on if he likes, but it isnt really necessary) to put up 200k (in most cases) to the bank to leverage the remaining (generally) 1.8m. The 200k and the land are the security. If the investor has a good enough relationship with a lender, it can be 0 down, but the only cash out of pocket really is to the bank to get the loan.

My builder designs, preps, ands builds the home (generally around 10000 sq feet) and the developments real estate office actually does the sale (we have the communities developer doing all of our sales). In 8-12 months (est) the house is built and sold and all capital is recouped plus a $300k profit to the investor.

That is primarily what we do (we do larger and smaller projects, but this is the best one for risk and reward).

There you go, let the wine start flowing!
