when I was 13-16 I raced BMX and wanted to open a "bikes and boards" shop with my friend in California (I live in Washington and we were sick of the rain).

I got to thinking about this the other day and found a great domain available. but it's $2400.

What is the most you've paid for a domain? I think I could make that one profitable, but It would require full time efforts. not something I have right now.

I saw another, dviadapter.com which is $800. quite a bit less, but I don't think I want to persue that either.

Just curious to as whether or not anyone here has actually bought an expensive domain before.
