Default Simulated Glass Etching Question

Does anyone know anything about etchlike.com? The concept as well as the fanciful artistry seems fun and profitable, however I can't find a forum with people discussing their success or failure stories in relation to this company. Is this company worth the $15,000+ investment, and is there a market for this sort of thing? Any opinions are welcome. My next coarse of action is to call the BBB in their city of operation, as well as write to the licensed distributors of this company to do my due diligence. I have a feeling, that I will receive more honest and open feedback from this forum though, than from other sources.

Thanks in advance,

I see your post is over a year old now. Just wondering if you had any luck finding information about this company? I am thinking about giving it a try.

How about anyone else, has anyone heard anythig about this company, Etchlike?

Also, on a side note, does anyone have any experience with small business grants or loans? Do some states have programs set up to help start up business's?

I have never heard anything regarding this company, or their proposed opportunity. I agree that $15,000 is way too much for a start-up like that without really knowing there's a market for it.

I saw something like this recently . . .

Here it is http://www.glassconceptsno.com/

It sounds like a nice idea. It looks like a solid business proposition but is it worth a $15,000 start up? What would the $15,000 get you? Training? Starting inventory?

It looks like a good opportunity but etchlike.com looks shabby. Maybe they are affiliates of a larger company?

I did a little research on the net. The idea seems to be already established in Arts and Crafts circles. For example, http://www.plaidonline.com/articleDe...e&articleID=56 sells supplies that allow anyone to recreate faux stained glass. There seem to be two methods to do this. There are ready made vinyl decals and then there are liquid solutions that are applied through some sort of pre-made stencil.

I think this would make a great business. It doesn't seem that it would be too hard a business to put together.
