Default Hello all not sure if this is where i sould ask this.

I am new on the page.. not sure where to post this maybe you guys can give me some ideas on where how to get started

Need Investor for Aerospace Composite shop
what we do here is build Composite parts.. some R&D work and Concept models , composit tooling for manufacturing we all so can do short term manufacturing of Composite kits for Radio Controlled aircraft and UAV's ..WE hope to build and Proof of comcept Models of a Airframe that will be developed in to a UAV aircraft over the next few years... So if you are looking for someone to do composite work.just drop me a line . We have manny business ask us about airframs at this time.. and want to see a Airframe in the air befor they will go forward with any contracks. what we are looking for is a Backer or Investor to help get this shop going and to build a small airframe as a Demonstration Aircraft to show to Customers to recop the money the airframes would be all so sold as a RC model Kit to off set the price of the Tooling..and to pay back the Investor. if you look around as some of the HI end RC jets prices run as High as $1200 for kits and up to $18, 000 we are just looking for some way to get us in the Door I have work in the Feild for over 10 years and worked with UAV's what i am looking for is a Envestment of $25, 000 to get Materials to get the Tools and first airframes built..

Everyone is building UAVs now, they are not difficult anymore and there's lots of kit suppliers out there too.

10 years ago a UAV was quite a difficult build and would take 2 years of development time. Today, all the components are available off-the-shelf.

A business focusing on UAVs would be quite good, but $25,000 would disappear VERY fast.

For a start, you'd need to spend $10,000 to $20,000 on software. Then there's the microcontroller development systems, another $2000, then there's the materials, another $1000 to $3000.

Should we go into the tools list?

PCB manufacture.
Mill.
Molds.
PC.

I forgot the parts needed to build the first UAV.

$12,000.

A licence for Solidworks will cost $11,000 to $20,000, depending on options selected.

I'd be suprised you'd only need $25,000. A good start would be $80,000.

If all you want to do is make composite materials for the airframes then $25,000 would be ok.
