Default Question for self employed biz owners

Im currently a w-2 employee and a part time biz owner eventially looking to make that full time biz owner.

1 of my stumbling blocks is medical/dental insurance. The company im with has a good plan, however once i transition out of the company Ill lose them or have to pay expensive cobra coverage.

Can anyone help me with this issue such as were to look, costs etc?
As my biz is growing, Id like to have confidence that that final frontier from w-2 to full time biz owner is covered.
Thanks!

If you are in reasonably good health, look into getting a high-deductible health plan ("HDHP") which would qualify you for a health savings account ("HSA"). You can sock money away in an HSA tax-free and use the funds to pay for medical expenses that are not covered or incurred before the deductible is met. Your premiums will be lower with a high deductible. And as a self-employed individual, you may be able to take advantage of the self-employed insurance deduction and write off the cost you pay in monthly premiums.
