Default Accounting Software for Sole Trader

Has anyone got any recommendations / experience. Some have suggested QuickBooks and others Sage. Anyone here got any advice. Don't think I need anything too advanced at this stage, and have no payroll. Thanks

My opinion of Peachtree used to be very positive. But they screw you royally for annual updates, they've increased to prices a huge amount over the years (we've used for about 10+ years), they are now owned by Sage, and I'd look anywhere but Microslime.

If I were a programmer, I'd create a simple but accurate P&L package that would sell under $100. IMHO that market is massive and untouched.

Best to you in your search.
